Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
The much anticipated 24-105mm f/4L IS finally arrived in the fall of 2005. This lens has a versatile range on both ends. With a fixed aperture of f/4 and the dynamic focal length range, this may be one of the best choices for a walk-around lens around. It is considerably lighter and more compact than the 24-70. It also has image stabilization which will come in handy when taking action or low-light shots without a flash. I've seen sample photos and this lens takes some pretty amazing shots. Definitely worth considering although a bit pricey at over $1000.
